INTERVENCIONES propone un encuentro de artistas de las Islas Canarias con artistas de otros países para desarrollar propuestas en el espacio público del municipio de Guía de Isora. Esta primera edición 2008 lleva el título “Entre memorias y expectativas” y tiene como objetivo analizar el concepto de la memoria, tanto personal como colectiva y su importancia frente a las fuertes transformaciones del territorio en el suroeste de Tenerife.
La combinación de la visión de los artistas locales con el punto de vista de los artistas invitados, promete favorecer un interesante intercambio de ideas y conceptos artísticos. Subrayando la reflexión teórica sobre el tema propuesto, se invita además a un artista de reconocido prestigio y especialista en la temática para impartir un taller de una semana de duración. En esta edición el artista plástico alemán Horst Hoheisel, impartirá el taller titulado “El arte de la memoria- La memoria del arte”
Paralelamente a estas actividades, algunos artistas invitados darán conferencias en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de La Laguna donde presentarán a los alumnos sus proyectos personales y las tendencias del arte emergente en sus respectivos países. La
inauguración de la muestra será el 12 de abril en
Guía de Isora. Los artistas participantes son: Adrián Alemán (España), Nayari Castillo (Venezuela), Hassan Darsi (Marruecos), Drago Díaz (España), Mariela Limerutti (Argentina), Maria Requena e Israel Perez (España), Martin Schmidt (Alemania), Néstor Torrens (España), Rodrigo Yanes (Chile).

INTERVENCIONES is an art festival, where artists of the Canary Islands will meet artists from other countries to develop projects in public space in the municipality of Guía de Isora. The first show in 2008 “Between memories and expectations” will show us 10 different artistic statements about personal or collective memory in the context of the significant social and territorial transformations in the south of Tenerife. By combining the different points of view of the local and the foreign artists we will be able to see an interesting exchange of ideas and artistic concepts.
The show will be accompanied by a one week workshop, given by a prestigious artist and specialist in the topic. For 2008 we have been able to invite the German artist Horst Hoheisel who will give the workshop titled “The art of memory. The memory of art” Parallel to the activities in Guia de Isora some of the invited artists will give lectures in the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of LaLaguna to present to the art students their personal projects as well as emerging art projects of their countries. The
opening of the show will be the 12th of April in Guía de
Isora. The
